Phyllis will get you started on the road to wire! She is an experienced wire artist with the knowledge and patience to get you started on this exciting road to fun.
Skill level is beginner with little or no previous experience with wire.

UP AND OVER with Huib Petersen

Two layers of tubular right angle weave are woven into each other in this classy necklace.
The fun of working in tubular right angle weave is that you are constantly working clock or counter-clock wise. Another great thing about his way of stitching is that you will be able to create any kind of shape or ling. During the class Huib will explain some of these possibilities and illustrate them with samples. Skill level is for the intermediate to advanced beader who is comfortable with right angle weave.The workshop fee is $90.00 and can be combined with other workshops with Huib at a discounted rate of $75.00 for each workshop. ALL HOOKED UP with Huib Petersen SATURDAY, AUGUST 28, 2010 - 10 am to 4 pm [caption id="attachment_476" align="alignright" width="117" caption="All Hooked Up Necklace"]

In this necklace, the focal crystal is a part of the closure hooked on to the end links on both sides of the chain. The fun is that the necklace is wearable with the focal crystal and becomes wearable by both male and female.
This stitch used in this necklace is cubic right angle weave combined with a triangle right angle weave, what shapes the circle in these links.
The skill level for this workshop is intermediate.

CATHERINE RUSSIAN BEADED LACE with Huib Petersen SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, 2010 - 10 am to 4 pm [caption id="attachment_477" align="alignright" width="209" caption="Catherine Russian Beaded Lace"]

This beadwork originating from Russia, includes small components; leaves and starflowers, to be used in small or big projects. The diagonal peyote stitch (used in the leaves) is very versatile and easily adaptable in lots of projects.
The skill level for this workshop is beginner to the intermediate beader.

SPECTRAL LIGHTS BRACELET with Kim Stathis

September 10 and 11, 2010 - 10:00 - 4:00 pm
Crystals and pearls are woven together with double needles to create a richly textured and sparkling to for the bracelet. This top layer of crystals and pearls is supported by bead arches which connect to the back piece of the bracelet.
